United Alarm has been exceeding the residential and commercial security needs of families and businesses in Calgary. Established in Calgary in 1990, the business was initially trading as Calgary Alarm and endeavored to provide Calgarians with affordable, dependable alarm services independently. At the time, many security companies provided their services in conjunction with finance companies; however Calgary Alarm changed that and grew independently. We adopted a customer-cantered approach from day one, and it was an approach that really paid off for our company and ultimately our clients.

In 1993 Calgary Alarm began to expand into other centres in Alberta and in Canada, and as a result we decided a name change was definitely a good move. Today the company formally known as Calgary Alarm is now known as United Alarm. United Alarm is now the largest privately-owned security alarm company in Alberta. It is one amazing achievement, considering this company started from one client at a time and did not rely upon purchasing alarm contracts to attract new business.
